HELLO!! CROSSING 〜笑顔で交差する街歩き〜

大阪府大阪市西淀川区に位置する大野川緑陰道路を舞台に、市民参加型アートイベント「HELLO!! CROSSING」を開催しました。本イベントは、地域住民や働く人々を対象に、大野川緑陰道路をはじめとする地域の魅力を再発見し、街と人とのつながりを深めることを目的とした取り組みです。

大野川緑陰道路に隣接する社会医療法人 愛仁会 千船病院や西淀公園を会場に、西淀川区のに住むひとびとや地元企業・商店の方々、エッセンシャルワーカー（医療従事者など）を含む地域にゆかりのある人々の笑顔を写したポートレート（肖像写真）を展示しました。来場者には会場を巡りながら、写真を通して地域の多様な魅力や活気を感じ取ることができる仕掛けを体験していただきました。

本イベントを通じて、緑陰道路が単なる通行路ではなく、住民や訪問者にとっての憩いの場として新たな価値を持つことを目指しました。また、地域コミュニティとのネットワークを構築し、アートを通じたエビデンスの蓄積と実践知の共有を進めることで、地域活性化の新たなモデルの可能性を探りました。

HELLO!! CROSSING – Walking Through the Neighborhood with a Smile

HELLO!! CROSSING was a citizen-participatory art event held along the Ohnogawa Green Road in Nishiyodogawa Ward, Osaka. The event aimed to rediscover the charm of the area, especially the Ohnogawa Green Road, and to deepen the connection between people and their neighborhood.

Portrait photographs of people with ties to the local area—including residents, local business owners, essential workers such as healthcare professionals, and employees from nearby companies—were exhibited at venues such as Chibune Hospital (Aijinkai Social Medical Corporation) and Nishiyodo Park, both located adjacent to the Green Road. As visitors walked along the exhibition route, they experienced the vibrancy and diversity of the community through the displayed portraits.

This initiative explored the potential of the Onogawa Green Road not merely as a transportation route, but as a place for relaxation and connection among locals and visitors alike. It also sought to build a local network and share practical knowledge and evidence through art-based communication, thereby contributing to a new model for community revitalization.
