プロジェクションマッピングで子供の「指さし」経験

「日々病気と闘う子どもたちとご家族の不安を少しでも和らげ、病棟に笑顔と癒しをもたらしたい」。医師・看護師をはじめとするスタッフの想いから生まれた企画です。 コロナ禍において小児科病棟でも新たな対策が求められている中、プロジェクションマッピングによるホスピタルアートを取入れることで、接触の心配なく、子どもの発達に重要な「指差し遊び」や笑顔の生まれる環境を、子どもたちにクリスマスプレゼントとして届けました。

Pediatric Projection Mapping at Tokyo Medical and Dental University Hospital

LOCATION - Pediatric Ward, Tokyo Medical and Dental University Hospital (renamed Tokyo University of Science and Technology)

This projection mapping installation was designed to bring smiles and comfort to children fighting illness. Without requiring physical interaction—an important consideration during the COVID-19 pandemic—the animation promoted playful engagement through “pointing” behavior, crucial for child development. It was offered as a Christmas surprise, inspired by hospital staff’s heartfelt desire to support their young patients and their families.
